Having danced since the age of three, Mary is a versatile dancer with strong training in ballet, jazz, tap, and modern. She is fortunate to have had the opportunity to perform in dance works choreographed by David Dorfman, Gabriel Masson, Joe Chvala, Wynn Fricke, George de la Pena, Daniel Stark, Armando Duarte, Jennifer Kayle, Barbara Thatcher, Janice Haws Roberts, Anthony Roberts, Deanna Carter, and Alan Sener. Her company credits include Dancers in Company, Jennifer Kayle and Co., and Duarte Dance Works.
Mary enjoys teaching dance and choreographing within the community. She has had the opportunity to choreograph various musicals including 42nd Street, Singing in the Rain, Guys and Dolls, and Man of La Mancha. Mary has recently taught Ballet and Modern at St. Olaf College as a guest artist. She is thankful for the opportunity to understudy for ‘Ugly’ and hopes to continue to work with Mathew Janczewski and his dancers in the future. Mary holds an MFA in Dance from the University of Iowa and a BA in Dance and Political Science from St. Olaf College.
